Announcing Pastors for Tennessee Children

“A voice cries out: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God!” (Isaiah 40:3)

January 8th, 2019 marks the official launch of Pastors for Tennessee Children. At 11 a.m. in the Press Room on the ground floor of the Cordell Hull building (the new home of the Tennessee General Assembly), advocates for Tennessee public schools will to introduce the group and to pray for their state’s Governor, legislators, schools, and children.

Pastors for Tennessee Children joins faithful public school advocates across the US, seeking to advocate for Tennessee’s children by:
·     providing “wrap-around care” for local neighborhood schools,
·     supporting a free, public education system,
·     promoting social justice concerns, and
·     advancing legislation that enriches Tennessee children, families and communities.
